What are affiliate links?
Affiliate links are special URLs that track when a user clicks through from our website to a marketplace or service. If you make a purchase through an affiliate link, the marketplace may pay GlobalDealScout a commission. The price you pay is not affected — affiliate commissions come from the marketplace's marketing budget, not from buyers.
How we use affiliate links
When we link to a marketplace that we have an affiliate relationship with, we use affiliate links. These links are always marked with the appropriate rel='sponsored' attribute in the HTML, as required by search engine guidelines. We also include a visible affiliate disclosure on every page that contains affiliate links.
Do affiliate links affect our reviews?
No. Our editorial ratings, pros/cons, and recommendations are based on our independent assessment of each platform. Affiliate partnership status does not influence review scores or rankings. We apply the same evaluation criteria regardless of whether we have an affiliate relationship with a platform.
How to identify affiliate links
On GlobalDealScout, affiliate links are typically found in CTA buttons such as 'Visit G2G' or 'Check Deals.' These link through our /go/ redirect system, which logs clicks for analytics purposes and then redirects to the marketplace. Every page with affiliate links includes a disclosure statement.
